NYC DA Labels Tekashi 6ix9ine A Gang Member In Attempt to Lock Him Up For Years

Tekashi 6ix9ine likes to yell "TreyWay." That may end up getting him locked up for a couple of years.

Earlier this year, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office determined 69 violated the terms of the plea deal he struck in 2015 on one count of use of a child in sexual performance because he's been linked to multiple criminal incidents. They are now asking that 69 by sent to state prison for one to three years.

6ix9ine's legal team has been arguing that his probation ended in 2017 and, anyway, he's yet to be convicted of anything since entering the 2015 plea.

Sara Weiss, the Assistant District Attorney for New York County District Attorney’s Office, pushed back on that in a new letter for the court.

“Defendant’s acknowledged membership in a violent Bloods set known as 9 Trey Bloods, along with an incident of gun violence perpetrated by this defendant’s entourage, make him an inappropriate candidate for adjudication as a Youthful Offender," she wrote.

She also explained that the end of 6ix9ine's probation was dependent on him getting his GED. Since he didn't, he remained on probation past 2017.

6ix9ine's next court appearance had been scheduled for tomorrow, October 3. But since he's overseas that likely means he knows it's already been pushed back.

Last week, Tekashi's legal problem got direr when the Feds raided his Brooklyn home and found a firearm.
