Gucci Mane Gets Green Light To Perform in Canada Despite Criminal Past

by Daryl Nelson

Gucci Mane was given permission to perform in Canada even though he has a lengthy rap sheet.

TMZ reports that with the help of an immigration attorney, Guwop received a temporary resident permit to play 10 gigs in the country later this month. Canada is known to be super strict on people with prior convictions, so this is considered a big win for the "Cold Shoulder" rapper.

Gucci's past legal troubles have been well-documented, and the last time he got jammed up was in 2013 for probation violation. He was caught with a firearm that year, spent three years in prison, and has avoided legal trouble since.

But his baby's mother did recently try to get him locked up for not paying her legal fees in their custody case. That hasn't worked yet.
