Wu Tang Explains Why They Jumped On Logic's 'Wu Tang Forever' & Not Drake's

by HHL JT

Drake and Logic both have tracks called 'Wu Tang Forever.'

But despite the 6 God's best efforts the get the legendary Staten Island crew on his Nothing Was The Same cut, he ended with merely an 'It's Yours' sample.

Five years later, Logic was able to get all the Wu members -- including OG associate Jackpot Scotty Wotty -- on his YSIV track of the same name.

In an interview with Ebro, Masta Killa and Raekwon The Chef explained how Logic succeeded where Drake failed.

“I remember Drake also reached out for us to get the same. He wanted everybody. He even dedicated a song for Wu-Tang or whatever," Masta Killa said. "But Logic was blessed to, I guess, the right timing and then he got it done.”

"He was able to reach out and one thing led to another and the next thing you know," Raekwon added. "He even got one of the top MCs in the neighborhood that we looked up to on the track too. It was like, ‘Wow, you even went and got Scotty. Why he on there?’ How’d that happen? But it happened.”

Was it worth it?
