The Verzuz battles first served as a nice distraction during the height of COVID-19 and they continue to entertain folks.
On Wednesday, March 23, the new Verzuz battles were announced, and there's something special planned for July.
Two record labels will face each other at that time, although it hasn't been announced which labels they would be.
In related news, Verzuz founders Swizz Beatz and Timbaland have partnered with filmmaker Lena Waithe for a documentary on the battle series. The doc is called Gifted & Black and it'll be about Verzuz's rise and the history of Black music.
