Swizz Beatz and Timbaland keep winning with COVID-boosted creation Verzuz.

Last March, it was announced they sold the battle series to the company Triller. Now, they've partnered with filmmaker Lena Waithe for a Verzuz documentary that's titled Gifted & Black.

Deadline says the doc will examine the history of Black music, Verzuz's rise, and how it helped the Black community during tough racial times.

There's no release date for the project yet, but it'll be on Amazon Prime Video.

"When we first started this mission the entire world had hit rock bottom. People were going through so much and Tim and I felt we should do something to help folks escape,” said Swizz. “The rest is history.”

“Swizz and I are excited to show the world everything that took place behind scenes during the process, while celebrating the artists that helped us build Verzuz,” added Timbaland. “Verzuz came from our love of culture and our love of music and the fact that it has become the force it is today is way beyond anything Swizz or I could’ve imagined.”

Will you be checking out the documentary?
