Usual Suspects Make Up Forbes's List Of Hip Hop's Wealthiest Artists Of 2015

by HHL Editors

According to Forbes, the five wealthiest Hip Hop artists of 2015 are the same as 2014. However, their positioning in the top five is a bit different.

Diddy topped the list again with his $725 million net worth. Besides music and royalties, his fortune comes from his TV station, fashion label and water and liquor brands. Dr. Dre, and his Beats Audio largess, was second wealthiest for the second year in a row.

Coming third, just like he did in 2014, was Jay Z. Although Forbes warns that Hov's $550 million net worth doesn't really take into account the situation at TIDAL.

The switch came at the bottom of the list, with 50 Cent leapfrogging Birdman. According to Forbes, Baby's drop can be attributed to rumors of big name artists leaving his Cash Money label.

Here are the top five by net worth:

1. Diddy - $725M 2. Dr. Dre - $700M 3. Jay Z - $550M 4. 50 Cent - $155M 5. Birdman - $150M
