Trippie Redd Says He's Quitting Drugs Because of Juice WRLD's Death

by Daryl Nelson

It's not uncommon for rappers to say they're quitting drugs after it's been suspected that one of their fellow artists died from substance abuse.

Like the time Mustard flushed his Lean down the toilet after Fredo Santana died of kidney and liver failure in 2018.

Now, after Juice WRLD passed away on Sunday, Trippie Redd said he's turning over a brand new leaf.

The cause of Juice's death hasn't been revealed yet, but his girlfriend said that he had a drug problem and his ex-girlfriend said his label actually courted him with drugs. Juice, himself, admitted to having an addiction problem back in July.

Trippie has taken notice:

“We ain’t doing it no more,” said Trippie on Instagram. “Period. If ain’t weed, we ain’t doing it no more. When I say we, I mean us as a group, us as a whole — the whole emo music. No drugs.”

Do you think Trippie is really done with drugs for good?
