Kobe Bryant the rapper never had the commercial success of his platinum-selling teammate Shaq. However, he was signed to Sony for a minute and dropped the Tyra Banks-on-the-hook single "K.O.B.E".
According to Run-DMC's Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons the iconic rap ground remixed their hit "Adidas" with Kobe way back when a pre-Nike Bryant repped the stripes.
The project never came to fruition, but Run told the Today Show he could revisit the session and see if he can salvage it.
"I gotta go through the files and see where it's at," he said.
Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people died Sunday in a helicopter crash.
