Tekashi 6ix9ine Prosecutors Have Already Shaved Ten Years Off His Sentence

On December 18, Tekashi 6ix9ine will get his sentence on racketeering and weapons charges. He had been facing 47 years, but he flipped the day the government brought him in and ended up testifying against members of his former Nine Trey set.

For that, there is some expectation he will be released next week, having served about a year.

While we won't find out how that goes until Wednesday, it looks like he will be only facing 37 years when he faces down Judge Paul Engelmayer. According to The New York Post, prosecutors are planning to formally drop count two of the indictment against 6ix9ine — possessing a machine gun in furtherance of a racketeering conspiracy.

“The Government will move to dismiss Count Two at sentencing,” said prosecutor Michael Longyear. “Thus …the defendant’s mandatory minimum term of incarceration would be 37 years’ imprisonment.”

Of course, 6ix9ine won't be seeing anything close to the mandatory minimum or the Federal sentencing guidelines because of his rat turn.

Prosecutors have described the troll rapper's cooperation as “extraordinary.”
