Suge Knight Says Dr. Dre Tried to Have Him Killed Over Beats Audio Deal

by HHL JT

In a jailhouse interview with The Blast, Suge Knight reiterated that Dr. Dre put a hit out on him after he tried to collect the hundreds of millions he believes he was owed when Dre sold Beats Audio to Apple.

Dre ended up getting around a billion in the deal, and Knight claims he was entitled to 30 percent of that under the lifetime management deal he had with Dre.

Knight recently took a 28-year plea deal for running over Terry Carter and Cle "Bone" Sloan on the set of Straight Outta Compton in January of 2015. Carter died in the incident.

Suge told The Blast he believes Dre sent Carter and Sloan to kill him because Dre didn't want to pay him his Beats cut. He also claimed Dre was the reason he was shot seven times during a Chris Brown record release party in 2014.

“They also got the paper trail with all the checks and proof of when they talked to the witnesses saying that Dre came to them first and asked the two guys how much it cost to get rid of me,” Knight told The Blast. “And they said, ‘What you mean by get rid of?’ And they said, ‘Kill him.'”

Given that would make his running over of Carter self-defense, The Blast asked him why he took such a lengthy plea deal.

“So when they gave me an attorney,” Suge explains, “he seen me two times in eight months and told me he went to the court and said he needed help and other attorneys. And they told him no. He said no way he can do my trial because he really don’t know the case and he won’t win.”

He adds, “So if somebody stacks the deck against you, to the point where they’re not trying to fight for you, and let you get the attorneys you wish to have, what can you do?”

Do you think Dre tried to snuff Suge out over Apple?
