Snoop Dogg Demands Control Of Death Row Records

Snoop Dogg is moving into the executive portion of his career.

The rap legend joined Def Jam earlier this year as an executive creative and strategic consultant.

But he has eyes on a bigger prize.

During his trip to the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, he told Gillie and Wallo that he should be the one controlling what's left of Death Row records.

“I think all of Death Row should be in my hands,” Snoop said “I should be running that sh*t. Just like I’m in a position at Def Jam, Death Row means more to me because I helped create that. I think they should give me that and let me run that sh*t with the merchandise out, with the music all over the world. Add some new West Coast acts.”

The investment behemoth Blackstone currently owns Death Row's lucrative catalog.  So Snoop will likely have to pay a princely sum if he wants "all" of his old label.
