Meek Mill Splits With Roc Nation

by HHL JT

Meek Mill is no longer managed by Roc Nation.

He had been with Roc since 2012 and had scored a joint venture with Roc for his Dreamchasers imprint in 2019. But he is no longer on Roc's website and Billboard is reporting he has split from JAY-Z 's company.

No reason was given for the split.

However, Meek has expressed frustration with his label Atlantic over the last year.  First, he admonished them for the poor sales of his Expensive Pain album.

"They didn’t put nothing into expensive pain and then said I can’t drop another project for 9 months at the end of my contract after I made them 100’s of millions ….. how would can anybody survive that … most rappers can’t speak because they depend on these companies “I don’t,” he typed on Twitter.

He also claimed they stole Roddy Ricch from him.

"So look I made Atlantic records 100’s of millions and let them rape me out out Roddy a artist they came to me about in jail … they still saying I can’t drop music until 9 months after my last album got blackballed  just wrapped buildings and Nina art with talent," he Tweeted.

For his part, Ricch says Nipsey Hussle, not Meek Mill, put him on.

Anyway, it looks like Meek is shaking things up.
