Meek Mill Explains Why He Believes Thanksgiving Is 'Fake'

by Daryl Nelson

In less than 24 hours from now, a lot of people will be chowing down on turkey and other fixings for Thanksgiving, but Meek Mill won't be one of them.

On Monday, November 21, the DreamChaser explained why he isn't a big fan of the holiday.

“Thanksgiving [is] fake," he tweeted. "The Pilgrims killed the Indians. I still remember them books from school, horrible. I got Indian friends… My family might link up!”

Some criticized Meek for his opinion, so in response he posted the video to Ohio rapper YelloPain's song “Happy Thanksgiving," where YelloPain blasts Turkey Day.
