Maino Sticks Up For Taxstone After Guilty Verdict, Calls Troy Ave The True Aggressor

It's been a few days now since Taxstone was found guilty of first-degree manslaughter and a list of other charges for shooting and killing Troy Ave's bodyguard, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter in 2016.

Troy and Taxstone were beefing at the time and it led to a confrontation in New York's Irving Plaza.

Maino was present that night since he was supposed to perform at the venue. He spoke to Angela Yee about the guilty verdict and said Taxstone shouldn't be looked at as the aggressor, because he was just trying to defend himself.

“My only issue with that is I just don’t agree with the narrative that’s been put out there as if Taxstone was there to try to look for a problem," said Maino. "Taxstone was actually there chilling ... That man was there chilling, enjoying the moment and these other dudes came in there looking for a problem. These other dudes came in there with that energy looking to try to have a moment and the moment just didn’t go their way. So I’m just in disagreement with the whole narrative of becoming a victim after you tried to be an aggressor.”

Maino also came down on Troy for testifying against Taxstone.

“My whole thing is this though, how you out here celebrating just getting on the stand after you tried to create a situation that just didn’t go your way?” Maino asked.
