Lil Uzi Vert is among those in the Hip Hop community who's been deeply affected by the death of Lil Peep
Peep passed away Wednesday night from what is believed to be Xanax laced with Fentanyl, and it’s raised a big conversation in Hip Hop about drug use.
Vert's rapped about drug use -- specifically Xanax -- on tracks like on his smash hit “XO Tour Llif3.” But in light of Peep’s death, it looks like Vert is trying to turn over a new leaf by slowing down with the pills.
It’s not clear if he’s done with drugs altogether or just taking a hiatus. Either way, he took to social media and said he’s sober. Before that, he posted another message which questioned why nobody intervened on his and Peep's drug use.
