Up and coming Philly rapper Lil Nizzy has been temporarily paralyzed after being shot in his back.

The 20-year old Nizzy [Nasir Talington] was riding bikes with his 16-year-old cousin Hakim Bey in the Greys Ferry section of Philadelphia early Monday morning when a gunman opened fire on them, hitting each multiple times.

The cousins are currently listed in stable condition and are both facing surgery. Police have yet to name any suspects.

Nizzy's sister Najae Talington told 6 ABC that she believes Nizzy, an affiliate of Meek Mill’s Dreamchaser camp, was targeted out of jealousy.

“I think it was jealousy because he don’t bother nobody,” she said. “He minds his business, takes care of his family and supports his fans.”
