Lil Nas X Sued For Jacking Song

by HHL JT

Lil Nas X is in hot water for stealing a song.

But not that song.

The Music Force, which holds the rights to Bobby Caldwell's 1982 track"Carry On", is suing Nas X for stealing parts of the song without permission for a track Nas X also titled "Carry On".

"Carry On" wasn't on Nas X's debut EP 7.  But it did rack up about four million YouTube views before being removed from the platform.

The Music Force is seeking $25 million, which seems ambitious for a track most people have never heard of.

They are also naming Sony in the suit, arguing that because they recently signed the rapper to a record deal they should have made sure he had cleared all of his songs.
