Kanye West is trying to get a Grammy in the rock 'n roll category.

TMZ reports that Ye's label Def Jam submitted the song "Freeee (Ghost Town, Pt. 2)" for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance.

The cut also features Kid Cudi and it's from the pair's Kids See Ghosts LP. The submission has already made it through the initial screening phase and made it to the voting ballots. But in order for it to be nominated it'll have to get enough votes.

Ye's name has been submitted for the Producer of the Year category as well, for producing the string of seven song albums earlier this year, including Pusha T's, Nas's and Teyana Taylor's.

In other Ye news, the Chicago beatmaker recently responded to Snoop Dogg who said that Drake boned Kim Kardashian. That was a little after Kodak Black hit on Kim

Ye was also seen wearing Under Armour sneakers recently instead of Adidas like he's supposed to due to his affiliation with the brand and probably his contract.

Would you consider Ye and Cudi's cut a rock song, and should it be in the rock 'n roll category?
