John Legend and Kanye West were pals at one time. The "Save Room" singer was down with Ye's GOOD Music label on top of that.
But their relationship changed after Legend didn't support Ye running for president in 2020, something he talked about with The New Yorker a few years ago.
Now in a new interview with The Times, Legend took Kanye to task, while talking about his anti-Semitic and anti-Black tirades.
"He had so much optimism, so much creativity … I didn’t see a hint of what we’re seeing now, his obsessions with antisemitism, anti-Blackness, and it is sad to see his devolution," Legend explained. "I don’t think we’re qualified to psychoanalyse him, but after his mother passed in 2007, there was definitely a difference. His descent started then and seems to have accelerated recently."
Legend isn't the only GOOD Music artist who's backed away from Ye. Common has seemed to distance himself, Pusha T said they don't speak anymore, and Big Sean said Ye owes him $6 million.
