Joe Budden Shoots Back After Jay Electronica Dragged Him As Irrelevant

by HHL JT

Joe Budden didn't like Jay Electronica's new album A Written Testimony and explained why on his podcast.

He didn't like the beats, and he didn't like that Jay-Z, who was an unnamed feature on almost every track, washed Jay Elec on his own album.

In response, Jay Elec said he's never heard any of Joe's many albums, although there is evidence he has.

Joe was back podcasting this weekend, and he addressed Jay's comeback. [Jump to four minutes.]

"I'm not steaming over this Jay Elec thing. Jay Elec can diss me for the next five weeks on a fucking Hov collab mixtape again. I wouldn't feel bad. I don't think there's any seriousness in this" Joe said laughing. "Clearly Jay Elec felt some type of way.  I'm not trying to know you n***as. I want to make my position clear. Very early on for me, I realized it was more valuable to be able to speak about you than to speak to you. I'm not trying to have Thanksgiving dinner with some of these n***as."

The music-buying public seems to agree with Budden on A Written Testimony.  It slightly exceeded initial projection with a 31K first week.  But that's pretty disappointing considering it's basically a JAY-Z joint album.
