Jim Jones was a recent guest on N.O.R.E.'s Drink Champs and spoke about how difficult it was for Jay-Z to go platinum back in the day.
Jones' interview comes shortly after French Montana called him out for an IG Live battle. His comments about Jay come at around the 25-minute mark of the conversation.
"It took him a while to go platinum,” said Jones. “Like, he didn’t start off going platinum. And that’s no shots at Hov, he’s a f*cking billionaire. But his main battle was making it to be platinum. He had the platinum Rollie, they had everything, but it was hard for him to make platinum. And then when he finally made platinum, he stayed there, he only got better and iller and way triller, you dig? But in that era, he was in the same fight as all of us."
In regards to Jones and Jay-Z, were you surprised when they finally squashed their beef in 2017?
