The lawyer for Rodney "Lil Rod" Jones said the legal hammer will soon fall on Diddy and claimed that he's trying to discredit his client by dredging up his past legal issues.

Jones filed a lawsuit against Diddy in February, claiming the veteran music exec sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him. The suit is one of the things that sparked the feds' sex trafficking investigation into Diddy.

As for Jones' rap sheet, Page Six says he was convicted of reckless homicide in 2003 and was charged with misdemeanor sexual assault, which eventually got dismissed. He was also charged with assault several times.

But Jones' lawyer said that Diddy's plan won't work, and he's running out of time.

"[Diddy’s] legal team can do nothing to distract from the fact that he will be indicted soon," said Tyrone Blackburn.

He spoke about his client's reckless homicide conviction as well, saying it happened after driving away from the cops.

"It was pretty typical behavior for a young Black boy in Chicago when pulled over by the police," Blackburn explained. "As a result, he totaled the vehicle, and his cousin, who was his best friend, died."

Do you believe that Diddy will be indicted soon?
