Coi Leray got all sorts of attention and promo in the run-up to the release of her sophomore album Coi.  

It also had a feature from the late James Brown.

But that didn't translate to sales.

Coi only moved 10K in its first week and opened outside the top 100 on the Billboard chart.

Her debut album,2022's Trendsetter, only did 9K in its first week.

Here's what she said about that flop.

"But if you do your research and look at your favorite artist’s debut album sales ... come on,” she claimed.  “You know what I’m saying? So it’s just it’s a stepping stone. It’s part of the process. I'm happy.  I'm excited."

Now that we've reached the second stone, is it possible that Coi Leray just isn't going to happen?
