Check The Opening Week Projections For Trippie Redd's 'Pegasus'

by HHL JT

Trippie Redd was all set for his second straight number one project.

Then Ariana Grande came along.  According to HitsDailyDouble, Redd's third studio album, Pegasus, is expected to do 6o-70K with 2 to 3K in traditional sales in its first week.  However, Grande's surprise drop Positions is set to triple that with 240K-260K SPS, 60-70K traditional.

As for Trippie's numbers ... they're a step down from A Love Letter to You 4, his commercial mixtape which had a 104K first week last November.

Perhaps Tekashi 6ix9ine was right when he claimed that Trippie (and Tekashi's) label was holding off on Pegasus because they knew it wasn't a hit.  It may barely clear the 53K 6ix9ine's flop TattleTales did this summer.

Or perhaps it was Pegasus' awful artwork.
