Check The First Week Projections For Nipsey Hussle's "Victory Lap"

by HHL JT

Nipsey Hussle's known for the innovative way he's sold his mixtapes. His #ProudToPay strategy, in which fans pay large sums to buy limited edition hard copies of the tapes, raised 100K each for his "free" projects Crenshaw and Mailbox Money.

His debut studio album Victory Lap, which dropped last Friday, is being sold just like everyone else's is.

According to Billboard, it is projected to move about 40K Sales Plus Stream in its first week.

That's not a terrible number in this day and age. But it's probably less than Nipsey and his new partner Atlantic Records were hoping for his long-awaited studio debut.

Billboard is also projecting that the Kendrick Lamar curated Black Panther: The Album will stay at No. 1 for a second week, with around 130,000 units.
