Charlamagne Said R. Kelly's Sex Tape Was "The Best Celebrity Sex Tape Of All Time"

by Benny Franklin

Charlamagne just took another L.

After appearing in the new R. Kelly docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, Charlamagne is receiving a lot of harsh criticism.

Back in 2010, Charlamagne made some very disturbing comments about R. Kelly's sex tape and suggesting Kelly would want to have sex with President Barack Obama's daughter.

I’m so thankful for you doing this, but please know that it was 3 or more tweets. pic.twitter.com/VbEyNq9eaX

The old tweets grabbed the attention of Surviving R. Kelly Executive Producer, Dream Hampton.

She explained Charlamagne was included in the docuseries because he was vocal about his criticism and condemnation of R. Kelly, but Dream now regrets that she had Charlamagne involved.

He was asked because he’s been so clear and vocal with his criticism and condemnation of R Kelly.  He was interviewed before the story abt him broke. I tweeted an apology a few mins ago explaining I didn’t see his old tweets until I was tagged with them tonight.

I’m just seeing Charlamagne’s 2010 tweet tonight. I interviewed him before the story abt him broke but should have cut him altogether, rather than limit his appearance. It was a huge mistake. I prob spent more time arguing to cut Bruce. Again, mistake. #SurvivingRKelly

This isn't the first time Charlamagne has been criticized for saying stupid things, and we have a feeling it won't be the last.

Charlamagne has yet to comment on the old tweets.
