Boosie Badazz Says Lil Wayne isn't Into His Black Heritage

by Daryl Nelson

When Lil Wayne endorsed Donald Trump for president, some said they were shocked, while others didn't seem surprised at all.  (In retrospect, Weezy may have been fishing for a pardon for his federal gun charges.)

Boosie Badazz said he wasn't taken aback by the endorsement. He spoke to VladTV about it, and said that Weezy seems to put money in front of Black people. [Head to the 1:45 mark]

"I really think he looks at himself more as rich," said Boosie. "Wayne is probably thinking about his bag and his family and he has the right to think that way if he wants to think that way, but I could never … I just don't feel Wayne is passionate about our Black heritage."

Trump was accused of recruiting rappers to help him secure more Black votes right before the election.

Lil Pump is another rapper who endorsed him, and Rich The Kid said the Trump campaign tried to bribe him for an endorsement, but he turned them down cold. 50 Cent also said Trump's campaign reached out to him and offered him seven figures for a co-sign.

Do you agree with Boosie's assessment of Wayne?
