Bobby Shmurda Says He's Never Going Back To Prison

by Daryl Nelson

Bobby Shmurda spoke with GQ about being out of prison and now being a role model. The 26-year-old was released from New York's Clinton Correctional Facility on Tuesday, Feb. 23 and received a hero's welcome afterward.

While speaking with the fashion magazine, Bobby chopped it up with Meek Mill over FaceTime and made a promise to him. Of course, Meek had his own run-ins with the U.S. prison system and is now fighting for criminal justice reform.

“I’m done with that [jail] sh*t,” Bobby told the Philly rhymer. “I’ll be light-skinned in Jamaica before I go back.”

What advice would you give Bobby to make sure he stays out of trouble?
