Beyonce is Getting Heat For Using Slur On New Album

by HHL JT

The sales projections for Beyonce's new album Renaissance are OK.

The 275 to 315K HitsDailyDouble is predicting will be an easy number one on the album charts.

But it will likely be the lightest opening of Beyonce's career and just isn't on the level of her "Queen" moniker, especially since the album was heavily promoted and was her first proper project in six years.

Perhaps a little controversy will drum up sales.

Now she's got some.

Disability advocates are pissed Bye uses the slur "spaz" on her track "Heated."

"Spazzin’ on that ass, spazz on that ass," she sings.

Spaz is short for "spastic,” and can be used to refer to people with disabilities, especially cerebral palsy.

Lizzo faced a similar backlash for using the word "spazz" and took it out of her song.

Do you think Bey will do the same?

So @Beyonce used the word 'spaz' in her new song Heated. Feels like a slap in the face to me, the disabled community & the progress we tried to make with Lizzo. Guess I'll just keep telling the whole industry to 'do better' until ableist slurs disappear from music 💔
