21 Savage's Lawyers Reveal What Age He Really Came To The United States

by Daryl Nelson

21 Savage's legal team denied that he came to the United States as a teenager.

Since the rapper was busted on Sunday by ICE for overstaying his visa, it was learned that he was really born in the United Kingdom, but there's been conflicting reports on what age he came to States.

"Mr. Abraham-Joseph (21 Savage) was born in the United Kingdom," read a statement from the rapper's lawyers. "Mr. Abraham-Joseph arrived legally in the United States at the age of 7 under an H-4 visa. He remained in the United States until June 2005, when he departed for approximately one month to visit the United Kingdom. He returned to the United States under a valid H-4 visa on July 22, 2005. Mr. Abraham-Joseph has been continuously physically present in the United States for almost 20 years, except for a brief visit abroad. Unfortunately, in 2006 Mr. Abraham-Joseph lost his legal status through no fault of his own."

On Tuesday, 21's co-manager Justin "Meezy" Williams also denied the rapper came to the U.S. as a teenager and said he and 21 had the same homeroom teacher in third grade.

How do you think all of this will play out for 21 Savage?
