21 Savage Believes ICE Targeted Him Over HIs Music; JAY-Z Jumps In to Help

TMZ is reporting that 21 Savage believes ICE took him in as revenge for his track "A Lot," which criticized the behavior of immigration officials.

"Been through some things so I can’t imagine my kids stuck at the border / Flint still need water / People was innocent, couldn’t get lawyers," Savage raps.

If this is true, ICE has a good cover story: Savage was busted Super Bowl Sunday after police pulled over his cousin Young Nudy, who's wanted on felony charges. When they ran 21's (UK) government name, they contacted ICE.

Regardless of the motivation for the arrest, Savage is having no issue getting lawyers to fight ICE.

In addition to his robust legal team, JAY-Z has hired lawyer Alex Spiro to assist with Savage's case, even though 21 isn't a Roc Nation client.

"We are not going to stop until he is released, bonded out or in front of a judge ... What we have here is someone who overstayed their Visa with an application pending for 4 years - not a convicted criminal that needs to be detained and removed but, by all accounts a wonderful person, father, and entertainer who has a marijuana offense which was vacated and sealed," Spiro said.

21 could be deported back to the UK if the legal effort fails.
