2 Chainz Opening His Atlanta Restaurants For Dine-In Despite Pandemic

by Daryl Nelson

2 Chainz didn't seem to agree with the decision to reopen the state of Georgia. The governor made that call a few days ago, despite COVID-19 still spreading around.

"Red state," wrote the rapper, suggesting the Republican Governor is playing politics by reopening the state. Donald Trump has been pushing for states to reopen, while Atlanta's Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is telling people to stay home.

But it's now been announced that 2 Chainz will open his restaurants in Atlanta for dine-in service.

Chainz has two locations of his place Escobar Restaurant and Tapas.

According to TMZ, the rapper and his business partner Snoop Dillard will have the staff's temperature checked before they start their shift. They'll also have to wear gloves, the cooks will have to wear masks and only single-use paper menus will be used.

Chainz and Dillard had to let go of about 80% of the staff when the shutdown began. They now plan to bring back 65% of the staff and hope to get everyone back in the future.
