Did Yung Berg rough up and choke out his bae Masika Tucker because of financial shame? That's the latest report coming out of TMZ, who broke the story.
According to the gossip site, Berg and Masika were drinking at their NYC hotel after a booze-filled night at the Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood reunion show when his credit card was declined.
He stormed off, and Masika followed him to the room, scolding him for leaving her at the table with the bill. That set off the producer, and he started wailing on her and then tried to choke her -- hence the charge of "obstruction of breathing."
Masika has been defending Berg today, saying the incident was out of character and blaming it on the a a a a a alcohol.
However, Berg's ex girlfriend Hazel E, who was also on Love & Hip Hop, says she doesn't find Berg's behavior surprising.
"I mean, as you see in episode six, there was an altercation with us in the car and you see that he didn’t, you know, restrain me or walk away," Hazel E said in an interview with Madame Noire. "He definitely engaged back with me in that car scene and dumped my purse all over the street. So you know, with my experience with him in that scene alone, I felt like you never defended yourself when you got your chain snatched or when you got hit in the back of your head, but you were ready to tussle with me in the vehicle. It raises an eyebrow for me."According to government records, Berg owes close to six figures in child support. Maybe that's why money is such a sore subject with him.
