Young Thug Scores Win In RICO Case

by HHL JT

Things are looking bad for Young Thug.

This week both Gunna and Walter Murphy, who co-founded YSL with Thugger, took plea deals in Fulton County's sprawling RICO case against more than two dozen YSLs . Murphy and Gunna each walked out of jail with time served with Gunna admitting YSL is a criminal gang, not just a record label.

Thugger is still facing 20 to life and it's increasingly looking like prosecutors want the rap superstar to take the fall when in a trial that will begin next month.

But it's not all bad.  Yesterday, in a pre-trial hearing, Thug's attorney Brian Steele got the judge to exclude any evidence that the cops found in Thugger's phone when they raided his home in 2015.

If the judge agrees, the evidence obtained would be the “fruit of the poisonous tree” and would be suppressed. pic.twitter.com/Jt0v9FYJv4

"You didn’t have the right to keep that. You didn’t have the right to keep that particular evidence," the judge said.
