Young Thug & Elton John Said To Be Working On 'Rocket Man' Remix

By HHL Editors

It looks like Eminem's old buddy Elton John has a new Hip Hop friend.

According to The Fader, the 68-year old pop legend is working with Young Thug to remix his 1972 mega-hit 'Rocket Man.'

It was 300 boss Lyor Cohen who got the two together on a Facetime session. Then John sent Thugger all the instrumental parts to 'Rocket Man,' and Thug went in -- singing not rapping.

In December, John expressed his admiration for Young Thug in an interview with Noisy.

No word on when the updated version of 'Rocket Man' will drop. Here's the original.
