Young Thug RICO Trial Is Set To Be Longest Ever In Georgia

by HHL JT

If it seems like Young Thug's RICO trial is moving at a glacial pace it's because it is.

Fulton County's case against the YSLs is set to be the longest trial in Georgia's history.

The previous record holder was the Atlanta Public Schools (APS) cheating case back in 2014.

But if Thug's case ends up taking up most of 2023-- which it almost certainly will -- it will break that record.

“I don’t know why this trial would be longer than the APS trial, because it’s more straightforward,” said former prosecutor Chris Timmons. “The APS trial included teachers and educators accused of cheating. This one is about gangsters.”

Straightforward or not, Thugger's trial is now six months in and they haven't even picked a jury.

Thug remains locked up without bail as the proceedings continue.
