When visiting a podcast or radio station, rappers often get asked to give their top five rapper list, and Young Thug recently gave his. [Jump to the 16:45-mark].
"I don't use us as a group," said Thug on Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast of his YSL rap crew. "We really one. So I gotta say YSL one, Lil Baby, [Lil] Uzi [Vert], Drizzy."
Thug then had a tough time naming the fifth person, so he named both Future and 21 Savage. After that, he finally settled on Kanye West as being the fifth person.
But Thugger also made a distinction between the best rappers and best lyricists and said if he were speaking just about lyrics, his list would include Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, and others.
Other rappers who gave their top five list before Thug include The Game and Westside Gunn.
