Lil Wayne's Former Protege Flow Sentenced To Life for Double Murders

In 2015, former Young Money rapper Widner "Flow" Degruy was arrested for two charges of second-degree murder in connection with a double slaying that happened in New Orleans over Memorial Day weekend.

Surveillance cameras spotted Flow and an accomplice fleeing the scene after brothers Kendrick and Kendred Bishop were shot to death in their Kia, which was found near Flow's mother's home.

The case didn't go to trial until recently because the police couldn't find the weapon, which Flow had given to his mother and she had hidden from the police. She was eventually charged and pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact. She agreed to testify against her son.

Flow was found guilty, and today Criminal District Judge Tracey Flemings-Davillier sentenced Flow to life without the benefit of parole for each second-degree murder charge, and to 30 years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder. He also picked up 40 years for obstruction of justice and 30 years for conspiracy to commit obstruction of justice.
