On July 3, a vehicle owned by YG was linked to a pretty serious crime.

It started when deputies in Compton responded to a report of a reckless DUI. A shoot out between the officers and the occupants of the vehicle, a Cadillac Escalade fitted with "aftermarket bulletproof glass," left an innocent bystander dead. Officers and a police helicopter then chased the Escalade to Inglewood. During the pursuit, an officer was hit with a bullet and suffered minor injuries. A patrol car's windshield was seen riddled with bullets. The helicopter was fired upon but wasn't hit.

YG has said he had nothing to do with the GTA-style shooting.

"I was nowhere near the scene of this incident and had been in a recording studio all day in Hollywood," he told TMZ. "I was there until after midnight on the Fourth of July and didn't learn of these events until after they happened."
