A couple of days ago, footage surfaced that showed Yasiin Bey watching Teka$hi 69's "GUMMO" video and calling it depressing. The video is from A$AP Rocky's AWGE, and the production company has issued a statement retracting Bey's comments about 69.

"Earlier this week, AWGE released the third installment of their web docuseries AWGE DVD, chronicling behind the scenes moments with ASAP Rocky, the ASAP Mob and AWGE-affiliated artists and friends," the statement read. "Unbeknownst to Yasiin Bey and the AWGE team, an unapproved version of AWGE DVD Vol. 3 was leaked and included a clip of Yasiin Bey that was taken out of context and edited in a way that does not accurately depict him or his opinions. The leaked clip was not included in the final released version of Vol 3 from AWGE and does not reflect Yasiin Bey's feelings on Tekashi 6ix9ine, his work or otherwise. No further comment will be made at this time."

In the leaked video, Bey also called "GUMMO" "the same old shit," and then brought up the Brooklyn duo M.O.P. in what seemed to be a comparison.

What do you think about that clarification?
