XXXTentacion Says He Won't Increase Security After Getting Attacked [VIDEO]

by Daryl Nelson

Some people are jealous of XXXTentacion, and that's why he got punched on stage in San Diego. That's what the rapper told TMZ when he gave his first interview after being attacked.

"I just know it's people hating pretty much," he stated. "People just being haters. At the end of the day, like to be 19-years-old and have this amount of success ... there's going to be a lot of problems. It's not something I wasn't ready for so I mean, I'm just gonna take it like a man and be a man about the situation and do what I gotta do."
XXX thought the person who was stabbed at his show was the guy who punched him. It turns out that wasn't the case. Instead, police say the attacker fled the scene, and the person was stabbed in an unrelated fight and has non-life threatening injuries. But when XXX talked to TMZ, he didn't know any of that.

"I had nothing to do with this, is all I'm gon' say, just for other reasons, but apparently he was stabbed," said the rapper. "He was stabbed several times and is in critical condition right now and apparently he might die, so I don't know what's going on."
And as far as adding more security or bodyguards to his shows, the Florida rhymer said he won't do that.

"I'm gonna do the same thing I did before," he promised. "If I needed to be confronted, it's gonna happen. I understand paying to have people like, make sure you're safe, but I had 12 security guards today. So what the fuck am I gonna pay more money for to get security if I can get snuffed out so easy."
So far, it looks like XXX getting attacked is already affecting his tour, because his show in Santa Ana, Calif. has been postponed over safety concerns.
