Woman In Brutal Facebook Live "Accidental" Shooting Faces New Charges

by HHL JT

Cassandra Damper pointed a gun at Devyn Holmes's head and pulled the trigger.

Holmes immediately went limp, blood gushing from his head.

We know this because it was all broadcast on Facebook Live.

Damper was initially only charged with tampering with evidence because police said she tried to wipe off her hands before testing for gunpowder residue. So also told police that Holmes held the gun and pulled the trigger, seemingly forgetting about the whole FB Live aspect.

Now she's also being charged with aggravated assault with reckless serious bodily injury. She's not (yet) being charged with attempted murder because investigators believe she didn't know the gun was loaded and the shooting was accidental.

As for Holmes, he's still in critical condition. But there's hope because he was able to make it out of surgery.
