Wiz Khalifa's Beef With Kanye West Was Inspired By Bob Marley (And A$AP Ferg)

by HHL Editors

In January, Wiz Khalifa started one of rap's most revealing beefs when he questioned Kanye West calling his new album Waves.

Well, Kanye didn't end up calling it Waves.  Although we doubt the project's late name change to The Life of Pablo was out of respect for Max B.

Wiz revisited confronting 'Ye on the title -- and the madness that followed -- in a new interview with GQ.

"Bob Marley spoke up for what he believed in," Wiz said, explaining why he fired off the Tweet that started the short but intense feud.
He added that he was listening to A$AP Ferg’s 'New Level' when he decided to confront West on stealing the title from Max B.

He also said that Kanye eventually called and apologized to him for getting personal during the Tweet-storm that followed. Did Wiz return the favor?

“I have nothing to apologize for," Khalifa told GQ.
