In 2012, A Russian "reporter" notoriously kissed Will Smith during the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3. Smith responded to the unwanted mouth action by introducing the back of his hand to the prankster's face.

In a new interview, Smith recalled JAY-Z's reaction to the very un-Will Smith-like move.

According to Smith, once he got back to his room, he saw that he had ten urgent calls from JAY-Z, who isn't the type to leave such messages.

So, Smith called JAY right back. He recalled what Hov told him, imitating his voice.

"Hey, I just saw the video of you slapping the dude in Russia. I just want you to know you'll never gonna make a better piece of entertainment. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. Me and B, we have a show tonight, but we thinking about canceling it and just staying in and watching you slap this dude."

Later, Jay told Will Smith that it was a "breath of fresh air" to see him be so "authentic."
