Watch YBN Cordae Shed Tears Over Grammy Nomination

by Daryl Nelson

YBN Cordae debut album The Lost Boy has been nominated for a 2020 Best Rap Album Grammy. He got pretty emotional when talking about it on Instagram.

"Man, what the f*ck, bro?" he said in tears. "This sh*t crazy ... What the f*ck?"

The album, which contains 15 tracks, is a display of throwback lyricism because  Cordae avoids the sing-songy Autotune approach that many of his peers have embraced. AnHedelivers complex bars about his come up, his family and overall life.

Others nominated for Best Rap Album is Dreamville for the Revenge of the Dreamers II project, Meek Mill for Championships, 21 Savage for I Am > I Was and Tyler, The Creator for IGOR.

Who do you think will take home the trophy?
