Russ didn't like that Oakland rapper Guapdad4000 had mentioned his name negatively in one of his tracks.
So he and his goons attacked Guap at the Mala Luna Festival in San Antonio, where Russ was headlining and Guap was on the bill.
Guap revealed that attack in a series of social media posts.

According to a video Guap posted on IG, Russ approached him with his security and asked to talk. Guap agreed but then Russ sucker-punched him and ran to his trailer, leaving his goons to administer more punishment.
Russ had a point by point response to that:
Russ has a history of attacking those who speak ill of him, sending goons after both rapper Smokepurrp and podcaster Adam22. Nobody has been seriously injured in these attacks.
