Watch Kanye West and Virgil Abloh Break Down in Tears After Reuniting

by Daryl Nelson

It was all tears and hugs for Kanye West when he reunited with his longtime friend Virgil Abloh at Paris Fashion Week.

Abloh and Ye used to intern at Fendi together in 2002, and later Abloh became Ye's collaborator at his Donda creative agency. Virgil also designed the cover for Kanye and JAY Z's Watch the Throne album, which he won a Grammy for.

These days, Abloh is the artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton, which is why Ye saw him at Fashion Week.

Abloh happens to be Lous Vuitton's first black creative director. But Kanye poo-pooed that accomplishment when asked about it earlier this year.

“It’s not bad or good,” he said in April about his friend getting the job.  “[Abloh and I] have been fighting to make apparel at a certain price that still has the same credibility and desirability as something at a higher price. When they say [Abloh] was my creative director, that’s incorrect. He was a creative collaborator.”

What do you think? Was Ye jealous of Abloh getting the Louis Vuitton gig or no? It doesn't seem that way from their reunion. But, then again, West has claimed he just got rid of his massive ego.
