Wale Announced As Washington Wizards Creative Liaison

Now Wale shouldn't have any problem getting sneakers.

Yesterday, the Washington Wizards named the DC emcee their creative liaison. Wale songs will now be used in the team's introductions and he will partner with the Wizards on designs for merchandise and social media promotions. (Wale has almost four million followers on Twitter and 1.5 million on Instagram.)

"As a D.C. native and lifelong Wizards fan, this is truly an exciting and organic relationship for me," Wale said in a press release. "We've got some exciting projects up our sleeve that will roll out throughout the season, so be on the lookout."

Wale is often seen sitting court-side at Wizards games. In 2013, he famously confronted Raptors broadcaster Matt Devlin after Devlin compared Wale unfavorable to Drake, who is the Raptors team ambassador.

Devlin's dig on Wale was that he wasn't as famous as Drake; which is probably true. However, from a basketball standpoint, Wale is probably a better team representative. Just because he's never done this:
