Wack 100 Methodically Breaks Down Why Nipsey Hussle Isn't a Legend

by HHL JT

In death, Nipsey Hussle has become a cultural phenomenon.

It was clearly not like that when he was alive. A couple of months ago, Wack 100 was secretly recorded explaining why Eric Holder did what he was supposed to do when he killed Nip. In the fall out from that, the Cash Money West boss explained that Nipsey wasn't a legend.

He's not backing away from those statements.

"If Dr. Dre were to die right now, we'd would say we lost a legend," Wack told TMZ yesterday. "Based upon numbers. Body of work. How many albums did Nipsey drop. One album. This is not no personal sh*t I'm talking about.  This just is real sh*t. The man died with a million followers. No radio hits. No platinum hits. No world tour.

After he died, he went platinum and sold a bunch of records. Followers went up to 9, 10 million. First of all, we gotta define what a legend is and what a legend ain't. Was he on his way? I think in time he would have been. But at the time of his demise ... let's keep it real. The truth can never be defined as disrespect. If it is, that means you lying to your MFing self. That's like somebody saying 'Wack, you a little short MFer' and I get mad. It's the truth."

Is Wack speaking truth?
