Most people seemed to enjoy the battle between Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj. But not Vince Staples. In an interview with Complex, the Cali rapper said he wasn't a fan of the back-and-forth, and he called it corny.
"I don't wanna see people demean one another for no reason when they can have a phone conversation," he said. "Especially when they're actually musicians, not like a thing. There is battle rap. I'm a fan of that but as far as the spitefulness of it, 'cause battle rappers are actually like all friends, for the most part and they write about it and have fun and talk about it on Facebook later."Afterwards, Staples said he doesn't think it's cool for rappers to hurt each other's feelings.
"It's really fucking cute, but all that other shit, they can get the fuck out of here," he said. "That shit is corny as fuck.
